I’m very lucky this week. So are many others. Why? MY CAMP OPENED! That’s right, Juniper Woods is open for the season. This is my favorite resort in the world and I’d invite everyone to grab their towel and sunscreen to join me at the happiest place on earth.
Juniper Woods is a beautiful campground on 75 acres of land in the heart of the Catskill Mountains. While the facilities are fantastic, including a super conversation pool and a must-have heated swimming pool, what makes Juniper Woods so wonderful is the people. Within the camp you’ll always find a friend with whom you can talk, play petanque, or simply enjoy the scenery. Further the members help in so many ways to make the camp run efficiently and, more importantly, contribute to making everyone who comes out to the camp part of our Juniper Woods family.
In many ways, the people of Juniper Woods ARE my family. They’re there for me when I need help, they are a source of great laughter, and they provide the backbone of my life. Friends? Family? They’re all the same at Juniper Woods.
So many of the AANR landed clubs (landed clubs are simply those with land, as opposed to non-landed clubs that rent spaces or meet in people’s homes) are friendly and caring places to be. I’ve yet to go to a clothing-optional camp or resort without befriending “the locals” within a few minutes. That’s what makes nude recreation so special- we’re a family that can be found in nude places all over!

More true words couldn’t be written about the nature of the folks that all chip in and help out at Juniper Woods. We are a community of all sorts of people, each with a unique contribution toward a common goal…Happiness! I too witnessed the effoert it takes the bring our sleepy campground back to life this spring; it was a pleasure helping out Jim & Peggy and it makes me feel great knowing that we will all be enjoying that awsome conversation pool and heated swiming pool again this Summer. Kudos to the people that renovated the camp office, I can see how much it will improve the first impressions of the visitors and guests that stop in for the day or stay overnight in one of the beautiful campsites. Heres to a great Summer at Juniper Woods….Drop in and see for youeself.

I agree with your comments about the family atmosphere in nudist parks. I am closer to my friends at Sandpipers than any community I ever lived in.
It’s so true. Where I travel, I find family, there.
